GEAR School Readiness Program (GSRP) is a holistic preparatory preschool that aims to develop a passion and readiness within the underprivileged children towards schooling. It aims to make the children well equipped with the required basic knowledge which will help them get admission in the nearby mainstream schools in future.
Hence, with this vision this program aims to bridge the socioeconomic gap through providing equal educational and networking opportunities to the underprivileged children paving their way towards mainstream schools. With the light of education, GEAR School Readiness Program aims to bring back hope in these marginalized areas of Pakistan.
GSRP has developed an 8-months program based on the crucial elements of Early Childhood Education (ECE). The curriculum exposes the students to a multi-disciplinary, hands-on and Exercises of Practical Life (EPL) activities. The students are given the support (learning material/books) and a conducive learning environment that they need to thrive and reach their full potential, recognizing their individual strengths.
Progress:
- GEAR partnered with Al Furqan Welfare Organization and started preschool classes in the area of Korangi, PECHS and Sikandarabad. Students have been attending class regularly and have shown a positive learning attitude.
- Estimated 10 school openings are in progress and will begin regular classes in the first week of July 2023.
